Casa Alberti is situated on the border between Tuscany and Umbria (Cumbria), at the centre of an area of great artistic, historic and religious significance. Only 3 km. From Casa Alberti it is also easy to reach Cortona, with its Etruscan art museum; Siena, where every year -with the splendid frame of Piazza del Campo – the world renowned Palio is run; all of the Chianti area famous for its vineyards and much more; and finally the Verna Sanctuary dedicated to Saint Francis who resided in this fascinating and inspiring place for a long time before his death.
In nearby Umbria is Citta di Castello which, in addition to its ma-gnificent Duomo, painting gallery and palaces of the historical town centre also holds the Burri Foundation and Museum, and each summer is the site of the Festival of Nations (an international Chamber Music festival). It is also easy to reach the famous cities of Umbria: Perugia, Assisi, Todi, Spoleto and Gubbio that the en¬tire world envies us for their spectacular beauty.
